FREEMEN
Enterprises
Empowering Civil Society Through Culture, Stories, and AI
We document the people, ideas, and choices that sustain free and open societies — through storytelling, publishing, and the thoughtful use of technology.
What We Are Building
Three directions,
one purpose.
Cultural Content & Documentary
Stories That Matter
We are building a body of documentary work — YouTube programs, cultural interviews, and reading conversations — that puts real people and their experiences at the center. Human dignity, not spectacle.
Book Publishing
Ideas in Print
Nonfiction, narrative, and cultural essays that explore democracy, migration, memory, and the lives of people navigating extraordinary times. Books in development — honest about where each project stands.
Future AI Application
Knowledge, Thoughtfully Designed
We are designing reading and research tools that help people explore ideas, trace sources, and form their own judgments — with AI that distinguishes fact from opinion and never chooses sides for you. In development.
Our First Project
Freemen & Friends
Documenting People Who Fight for Freedom
This is our first cultural project — a long-form effort to record the lives, choices, and shared memory of people who have stood for something larger than themselves. It began with Atticus Freeman's experience as a volunteer in Ukraine, and it grows from there: one story, one person, one honest account at a time.
Learn MoreEvery person who has stood for something larger than themselves carries a story worth telling — and a memory worth keeping.

Founder
Atticus Freeman
Writer, publisher, and cross-cultural storyteller. Atticus Freeman has lived and worked across cultures, and his time as a volunteer in Ukraine became the seed of Freemen Enterprises — a conviction that real stories, told with care, can help people understand the world and their place in it. He founded this company to build the kind of cultural and intellectual infrastructure he wished had existed.
